It's tough being me.

Mum is home from work this week. Yesterday after Papa went to work I got to sleep in the big bed. Mum and I slept until 10:15. It was great.
Then we went to the park. Today it is snowing! So who knows what we will do!

There is a Santa Paws!

Santa Paws read my letter! And I actually got some of the stuff on my list!!!
First, he left me a piece of antler!! It's my new most favorite chew .... My nyla bone is history!
Mum and I went to the dog park yesterday too and what to my wondering eyes had appeared but a giant water fountain with a spout for people and a spout for puppies! Its awesome! And we were BOTH so surprised!
Then Mum and Papa went to a friends house for dinner and they gave Mum a power adapter that magically made her laptop work again! It's not a new laptop to blog with.... But it's just as good!
Just goes to show, it pays to ask for what you want, you don't always get what you want but you get what you need!
Thank you Santa Paws!
I also got two new jackets! A rain coat from Mum and a puffy coat from G-ma! Thanks G-ma, thanks Mum!
This was the best Christmas ever! Now I have to go ... I have a lot of chewing to do!

Old Navy hates dogs, but G-Ma doesn't!

We got a delivery last night!! It was a very special delivery from my Nanny in Cape Breton! She sent us a big box of presents for Christmas and there was presents for me!
One present is wrapped and under the tree but the other, was this Christmas t-shirt. It fits me so well, and I look so handsome in it (as always).

Mum tried to find me a Christmas t-shirt at Old Navy but they don't sell dog stuff anymore. Good thing G-Ma surprised us with this one or I'd have nothing to wear on Christmas morning!
I also got some mail! I got a Christmas card addressed especially to me from my Auntie Dawn and Uncle Adam. I felt so special!

Oh the package also had a new Christmas stocking for my Papa. G-Ma made it for him special. Here's a picture, it's totally staged, I am never allowed on the coach!
Ok, time to go play!
Thank you Nanny!

An open Christmas Letter

I don't know if Santa is a regular on the blog circuit but I thought I would take a chance. I hear if you write to him he'll sneak in through the doggy door on Christmas morning and bring everything you ask for. So here goes ....

Dear Santa Paws,
I have been a mostly good boy this year. I've chewed a few things I shouldn't have, peed in the house on occasion and pretended to be sleeping when Mum tried to take me for walks in the rain. You probably already know all that, and my Mum and Dad have forgiven me so I am sure you can too!
There are a few things I would like to ask for. I would like steps to help me get on the couch and the big bed, some new toys from Planet Dog, one of your Reindeer's antlers to chew on (Comit's to be specific, he's my favorite), a years supply of Fromm treats, I'd like my Mum and Papa to never go anywhere without me, I'd like a water fountain and lights for my favorite dog park, a new bed, a new computer to blog with, and a few surprises.
I hope that isn't too much, I am sure you can handle it.
Mum says she'll leave you a glass of eggnog with a splash of Rum, and I will try really hard not to eat your cookies.
Thanks a bunch, your friend

Finn

Oh baby!

I met a baby last night!!! He was the tiniest little person I ever did see! I didn't know people came in that size. I've seen little kids at the park, and I play with Lucas next door, but this little guy was too small to play! He was only the size of Papa's shoes!
My mum's friend came for dinner last night and brought her brand new baby Wesley. He is 5 weeks old, but he was born 3 weeks early, and he's only 9 little pounds .... Mum says I weigh 60 big pounds.
I was so excited to meet him, he smells so good, and like sooo many things I never smelled before.
Mum made it very clear that I was not allowed to jump, only sniff. (But I did sneak a few licks - he was too cute not to)
I felt so many emotions, first I was excited to have visitors! I even let out a bark! Then I was a little scared because he made little noises I never heard before, and had so many smells, and then I felt jealous cause my Mum was cuddling him and not me. She let me smell his feet though and rubbed my chin and told me everything was alright and I felt better then, so I went and layed under my bed for a while. And then they went home and I was excited again because Mum was all mine again. And then I fell asleep and snored really loud, cause all that newness is very tiring.
The picture is me giving Wesley a goodbye sniff, you can see his little teddy bear hat.
Bye for now!

Meetup!

Oh My Dog! I went to meetup Saturday for the first time in a veeeery long time! I had so much fun with all the other bullies! There were about 10 of us and we all got along really well. Mum tried to take pictures but they came out blurry ... Haha we're too fast for her.
We can't post the pictures either because of "technical difficulties" (Mum's computer died!). So she is typing this for me on her blackberry. (My toes are too big for the keys).
It was also my first time at the dog park in almost a month. We have been lying low because last time we went I came home with a serious pimp limp. Mum didn't think was nearly as cool as I did.
Yesterday we walked to Papa's work and drove home. I was pretty tired, but I did get lots of attention in my Camo hoodie.
Oh and I was invited for dinner this week. Yup, Miss AnnAlise invited my Mum and Dad and ME to go to her house for dinner. I was so tired afterwards! There was just so much to explore!

Well that was my weekend. I wonder what this week brings?

Dear God what is that thing!?!

So it's Christmas again .... Apparently it happens every year, and I am good with that. I made out pretty well last year, and I have my suspicions I'll do better this year. I know Mum has smuggled at least one thing into the house and she says G-Ma is sending me a package with two presents... That's right TWO!!
What I don't get, is this Christmas "Tree". Sure, it looked like a tree after Mum put it together and before she covered it in those shiny balls. But it doesn't smell like a tree and I am not allowed to pee on it like a real tree, and I can't play with the balls, so really ... what is the point?
Mum was busy with the tree last night and also had a friend come over, so I was kind of neglected. But, I was a good boy (most of the time) and only sniffed her friends toes a few times... Just to figure out who she was. She seemed nice enough, and I thought Mum would be safe with her, so I went and played with my ball while they visited.
Papa got home from his work very early this morning, and doesn't have to go back for a few days. I am hoping that means fun times ahead.
He is still sleeping, and Mum is gone to where ever it is she goes everyday (I think it's "work" too, but its not the same place Papa goes and I have never seen it, so I'm not sure). So I think I will rest up and be ready for a good game of fetch when he gets up. Have a good day everybody!

Treats!

I forgot to tell you Mum is making me some more Sweet Potater treats! Look, they are almost ready!!!

We saw Big Bird!

Mum and I went bird watching yesterday..not on Sesame Street... at Colonie Farm!! We saw our favorite big bird .. two of them actually.....Great Blue Herons! Herons fly like pterodactyls and make a horrible noise.... but they look so handsome standing in the water.

We saw a few other dogs on our walk, and lots of ducks ... luckily we didn't see the park's newest resident ...

Yup... a cougar! Mum says he would eat us both for lunch but I think I could take him!

It was a cold and frosty day and it looked really pretty, but I was happy to get back in the car where it was nice and warm.
Mum went out without me yesterday...twice...not that I am counting.... and I didn't get locked on the kitchen! I was FREEEEEEE!  I was a very good boy, and got to stay out when they went out today too!

This afternoon we went for a walk around the neighborhood and we met my people friend Cathy. Cathy loves me and always comes to play when she sees me. She is a foster Mom to a rottweiler. He has been with them for 7 months and they have decided to adopt  him. I think it will be a great  forever home for him.

I was a little tired when we got home so I took a nap, with my favorite toy.
I think now it's time for supper....gotta go!

The unveiling

I can finally unveil my most handsome Christmas card! I didn't want to ruin the surprise for anyone, but my aunt Dinky (no that's not her real name) all the way in Nova Scotia got her card today, so that should mean everyone else has too.

I'm sorry if you didn't get one, my Mum must not have your address (because I think she sent them to everyone we know). So here it is ....... Merry Christmas everyone....

Boring!

So the snow is long gone but the rain has really put a damper ( ha - damp!) on my social life.
Also, day light savings time seems more like no day light time. It's enough to make me depressed.
Mum and I went for a walk at Mundy Park on saturday. It was kind of eerie! There were cars in the parking lot but we didn't see a single soul ... Furry or otherwise. But we did hear birds we've never heard before. The trails were sloppy and muddy, and Mum's feet got cold and wet. It was kind of like that movie The Mist, except we found our way back to the car and went home where it was warm and cozy ... but otherwise ... just like The Mist!
On the up side both my Mum and Papa have been home the last couple nights. We all sit together and watch tv. Mum makes some pretty funny sounds when we watch Glee! And we play fetch in the living room. My favorite maneuver is when I run across the room, bunny hop onto my bed, slide across the floor on the bed, and grab my bone. It's a tough trick, it not only takes extreme athletisism ... which I have ... but also, impeccable comedic timing .... which I also have!
Last night, Mum and Papa went on an outing and came back with food ... But they called it groceries. I stayed home and protected the house, and then I helped bring the groceries from the car. I'm a great help. I don't carry much, but I keep Mum company.
Well back to my nap. I hear the weekend is coming ... Hopefully that means something exciting.
Adios!
