Outside? No, I'm good thanks!

So the picture I am showing you is Mum's view of our street from her bus stop this morning. As you can see, some of that snow stuff fell over night, and keeps falling!
I am still a little confused by snow. I mean, what is it? Frozen weather? It's weird.
I should probably mention, that Mum says in most places in Canada snow is pretty normal ... But we don't live in most places! We live in British Columbia, near Vancouver ... Last year on Christmas day it was 10 degrees C. And even though this is my second winter, it's my first "how's your father" with snow! And I am feeling a little bit like Sam McGee ... Except I'm from California.
Moments before that picture was taken I had the misfortune of having to go outside for a pee. I did it quickly and ran back inside. First of all, it was cold! Especially after just getting out of my warm cozy bed. But the real issue about snow is .... I don't trust it! I don't know what's hiding underneath it!
Anyway, I am back inside now snuggled on my blankie, next to the heater. A bulldogs winter paradise really.
I'm gonna take a nap and dream of summer days in the Coquitlam River. As they say in the Great White North ... Keep your stick on the ice!

Snow is Cold ... I mean Cool!

Today has been a Finn-O-Rama! The whole day has centered around me and it's been awesome.

Mum made me some sweet potater snacks last night, and I got to try them this morning. They are crunchy and sweet  and yummy!

We went to Mundy Park this morning for a two hour walk! It was a bit of a photoshoot. Mum thought it would be the prefect day to get a photo for our Christmas card, and she was right! We got the shot.... but we are keeping it a secret for now!

I wore my new hoodie.... I looked awesome and everyone told me so! The snow was so fun to play in, and it makes everything taste different too.

The park was so pretty, and it was extra exciting because it was my first time actually playing in the snow.

At the end of our walk, we stopped at the dog park so I could play with some other dogs. There were a couple of shit-zoooos who went nuts when they saw me, they barked there stupids heads off through the fence. Their Mom tried to stop them by patting them on the head and telling them it was ok...... she needs to watch Cesar ... no wonder her pups are wack-jobs ;)

I had a nap when we got home, and I was set and ready when it was time to go again. First we went to Dog Town. I love that store, they have the coolest stuff and the yummiest snacks. They gave me some turkey jerky. I had to share it with Peanut Butter, the store dog. We bought a canister there to keep my kibble yummy and fresh.

Then we went to Bosley's and bought my kibble! Mmmm Bison and Sweet Potatoes! They had Santa in the store today too! They were doing photo's with Santa, but we didn't get one.... that stuff is for Puppies. (Besides, I already sent him my Christmas wish list)

I think I will spend the rest of the evening snuggled up on my bed. I am gonna sleep like a puppy tonight!

Maestro Finn in the Hood..or should I say Hoodie!

The day started off rough.. I spent the morning in the kitchen. When the parental units returned from their outing Mum and I went for a walk.... It was freakin' cold!! There was still snow on the ground from last night. It was only my second time seeing snow so I thought it was pretty interesting... I like how it tastes and also how it crunches under my feet!

Mum went for groceries tonight 'cause it was starting to look like Old Mother Hubbard's kitchen at our house. She stopped at the pet store on the way home and bought me a special "just because" present. She got me a Camo Hoodie. It looks so cool, but it's so toasty warm!

I am gonna be the coolest dog at the park tomorrow! I cant wait.

Operation Guilt

My parents suck! and so has my week... and I say that with love.
See, I had to stay home two days this week while they went to work ..Thats right 2... sure Mum leaves the radio on for me, and Papa comes to check on me.... but they left me! The first day they came home for only a short time and went out again!
I was pretty upset with them when they got home, and Mum knew it. She convinced Papa to let me sleep in the big bed. I was psyched ... I have only been in the big bed twice .... and only to keep Mum company when she was feeling sick. When Mum asked if I wanted to sleep in the bed I was so excited, I tried to climb in on my own.... not easy for a guy like me. It was great at first, but after 10 minutes I had had enough of Papa's growling, so I decided to leave. But I still wasn't content, so I did all I could do ....I cried ... yup, works like a charm every time. I sat outside the bedroom door and really started to wail. It worked! Mum ended up coming out in the living room with me.(Sucker) And we were pretty warm and comfy on the floor until about 2:30am when I decided to go to MY bed. That was Wednesday. By Thursday evening Mum was like putty in my paws, we snuggled, we played, she gave me carrots while she made dinner, and we shared an apple for dessert.
Tonight, Mum was late getting home, she had some excuse about going to the bank .... I have been to the bank ... and I didn't like ... there are funny machines that make noise, doors that move on their own, and slippery floors. Why would anyone choose to go there instead of coming home to me? She obviously has not learned her lesson, so I am keeping a low profile tonight. I have kept my distance, taken quite a few naps and let out a lot of sighs ...haha...am I good or what!
Tomorrow is Saturday, I'll keep you posted what we get up too.... if she has learned anything this week it will be a good day.

Je suis Robo Dog!

I am beat! Mum had a four day weekend and we have been so busy!
We went to Mundy park 3 times! On Thursday  I played with some retrievers, they were fun I guess, but all they do is run after balls and bring them back.... when I tried to wrestle they would just lay down and ignore me. BORING! I mean, come on! There was a Boston there too, she was awesome but didn't stay long.

After playing in the dog park Mum and I walked the trails. I didn't have to wear my leash and I was really good .... most of the time. On the first day I got a little excited and ran too far ahead of Mum. When she snagged me she was not pleased and we walked straight to the car and came home ..... I did not make that mistake again! Some people think I have Mum wrapped around my paw, but when she gets mad she's like a pitbull.

Friday night we went to town center park, we walked the perimeter of the park, and I was zonked. We met a few other dogs, and watched some soccer. I don't know why they wont let me play. I got skills!

Today was the biggest day of all! We went to the park this morning early and there was a French Bulldog Meet-up. They were on the small dog side, so Mum and I went on the big dog side. I was getting pretty bored with the retrievers so Mum asked if I could play with the Frenchies. They  said they would love for me to come play with them. I had sooooo much fun! Those Frenchie know how to play! We chased each other, wrestled, and I impressed everyone when I jumped right over one of the other dogs. I cleared the bitch like Perdita Felicien!

I was really dirty when we got home! It was a really sloppy day. Mum gave me a bath when we got home. I told her we didn't need to post bath tub pictures but she said "But you look so cute". That's moms for ya.... no concern at all for our street cred!

To top off the day we went to the local shelter where I got chipped! Yup they implanted a tiny micro chip in me! Cool huh? Now if I get lost all they have to do is scan my cat and it will tell them how to get me home. I'm like a cyborg dog, half dog half machine..... ok maybe not half and half but you get the picture.

So I bet that was more than most dogs did this weekend! I'm gonna need a few days to recover.



I think I'll start recovering right now... time for bed!

I'm Back

Wow, its been so long since I had a post.... I hope you are all still checking!

Mum and I went to the dog park this morning, and it was soooo fun. I met a little French girl named Violet, she was only eight months old, and when she ran she looked like a like rabbit....or maybe like a frog.... hahaha...I kill me! Mum always says that when we have a yard I can get a little frenchie sister, and if she is like Violet that would be awesome. We chased each other around and hopped over each other, and I shared my water with her. I was a real gentleman and let her drink first. Her Mom and Dad really loved me too. They said they want  a bulldog just like me... and they recognized my exceptional facial features and physique.

Violet's Mom says there is a frenchie meet-up happening at the same park next Sunday. My mum says we might go. We try to get to the English Bulldog meet-ups but they are always so far away! Violet told me that last week they had a Halloween meet-up at that park and they all wore costumes....and we missed it...thanks Mum!

I didn't get to go to football last night because it was raining. I had to stay home and hold down the fort! It's been raining for a few days :( Mum tried to take me for a walk a few minutes ago but I made it very clear I was not into that. So we just went outside and had a pee and then ran back inside. Papa washed my blankie and my bed tonight too, so I think I might just hunker down it for the night.
