She Ain't Crazy She's my Mommy

Tonight we went to town center park for our walk. It was a really nice night and we met some nice people .... and their dogs.
I should start though by telling you we got goosed! Not in the creepy old man way that Mum worries about on the skytrain every day, but by real gooses...I mean Geese. Look at them all.

It was a smushy-face-arama at the park tonight. While we were walking we met a nice man and his puppy, she was a 5 month old boxer and she was very sweet. A little further down the path we met a really cute little frenchie. She was two years old and all white except a tiny brown circle on her tail. Her dad said I had a great little jaunt, he was watching me walk. (What can I say...I am the embodiment of athleticism.) Mum says if she can convince Papa,  I can have a little sister just like her when we get a yard. We can name her Tinker Bell, or Thumbalina, or Piglet :)

So, some people think my Mum is crazy because she lets me blog, but we saw guy tonight who really was crazy. I should be careful what I say here because we don't want to work up people like Bill O'Reilly, I promise I am not trying to marginalize the role of fathers! I love it when Papa takes me for a walk, I really do. But if he ever took me for a walk in one of these things I would think he lost his marbles!

If you look carefully (click on the picture to see it in full size) that is not a people-baby in that stroller. That isn't even a fur baby...its a fur kid! Its a full grown dog! Mum says it's more embarrassing than that Youtube video of Mr. Truck trying to walk in his new boots (Poor Mr. Truck). If Papa ever did this to me, when I finally forgave him for the humiliation I would have Mum send him to Colony Farm Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation!

OK well I should go rest up for tomorrow. Wish me luck at camp!

Stupid Computer

Hi everybody, sorry it's been so long since my last post. Mum has been fighting with the computer since Sunday. She says it needs a new anti-virus, I told her to take it to my vet 'cause they have lots of anti-viruses, but she said no. So this post won't have any pictures :(
Saturday was a rainy day. We went to the dog park for a little while but all the dog parks near our house are under power lines so Mum kept getting zapped by her umbrella. We didn't stay long cause Mum thought we might get fried. We came home and watched movies instead.
Sunday we went to Colony Farm park. We saw lots of bear poop but no bears...except of the signs are the park. I was a really good boy, and mum let me walk off my leash for a while.
Monday we went back to the dog park. We were surprised when we got there because Lola was there! Lola's dad and my dad coach football together and I am in love with her. She's the most beautiful boxer girl I ever laid eyes on and she makes me do things that embarrass my Mum. We played pretty hard and when I got home I was TIRED! The next morning I slept til 7am. Mum says it was the best sleep SHE has had in weeks.
Yesterday we went to see my doctor. Mum was afraid my mite had come back, but it was a staph infection on my back. She says it happens to a lot of water dogs like me. She gave us some drug and said see you in a week!
Last night at the dog park I met another boy dog name Koda. He was a Husky. My playdate with Mia and Brin was cancelled. Koda was only 8 month old but he was very big! And gentle too. And when we were playing with my ball he didn't try to steal it from me.
Well that's all for now! Mum says friday I am going to day camp. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Water Dog...Sleepy Dog!

If Papa doesn't come home soon I am gonna be exhausted...every night is a different adventure.

Last night Mum and I went on a Puppy play-date with two girls named Mia and Brin and their people-sister. It was lots of fun, and next week we might go to the beach together. I liked those girls and I am hoping we can be friends, I really need some dog friends! Mia is a standard poodle, and Brin is a mini poodle shit-zoo mix. Their Mom got them after they were rescued from a hoarder, she heard about Mia and when she went to get her she met Brin and knew she couldn't separate them. Isn't that a happy ending?!

Tonight after dinner we went to the river again, it was really hot and sticky outside, the river felt pretty great on my fur. And... its the one place Mum doesn't need to bring a bottle of water for me!

 I have been perfecting my swimming technique, and I am getting really good.

Mum likes to float in her tube and I swim back and forth from the shore to the shallow spot in the middle.

So despite the heat and the swimming I was still a little wiry when we got home....so Mum took me next door again to play with Lucas.... our Mum's both enjoy that. I have kind of destroyed one of his soccer balls though, Mum might have to buy him a new one. I didn't do it on purpose...my teeth just get stuck in it when I pick it up.

Ok I am pretty tired, I should really go to bed....tomorrow is Friday who knows where she will take me!

So...tired!

Will the adventures never end?!? Mum and I went to the river again this afternoon. It was really fun...I swam....a lot! .... and of my own free will!
Mum got a hole in her inner tube, but she thinks she can fix it.
It was better than going to the beach too 'cause at the beach Mum doesn't get to swim. (She has to keep an eye on me). At the river we can swim together.
Tomorrow we might pack a picnic and have our dinner there! I wish Papa could come with us, but Mum says he's busy laying on a beach in the Mediterranean! They must have better beaches cause he doesn't come to the beach with us unless we beg. (I wonder if he bought my present yet?)
Oh and we went to the doggy day camp last night to drop off my vaccination papers. They loved me and can't wait for me to come play. Mum says maybe I'll go someday next week. She wasn't sure about it before but after talking to the owner last night she has no worries!
After the doggy camp we went next door so I could play with my people friend Lucas. He's only two and he was calling my name so Mum took me over. We played chase and he kicked a ball for me and we had a lot of fun together. I wish we had a yard like their's. Mum hosed me down so I'd stay cool and it worked like a charm. We played for about an hour and a half and I was really tired when we got home.
Well that was my day. I really need to sleep now! Later peeps.

A new dog park!

It's kind of a cool cloudy day here today so we didn't go to the river. Mum and I decided to go to Mundy park for a walk in the woods, instead. But,when we got to Mundy we saw a sign that said there was a new fenced dog park a little ways down the path.
It was awesome! It has two fenced areas so big dogs and little dog can play separately (if they want too) and it looks like they are going to add a water fountain. There were lots of other dogs there and I had a lot of fun. Everyone was so impressed with how fast I was, and they thought I had a cute face. There was a big fight with almost all of the other dogs but Mum and I were on our way out already so we didn't get involved in that. It was all started by one dog who's Dad said "she's an Alpha female". Mum says she was just a bitch with no manners! Some of the people left after that.
Mum and I went for a short walk after that and we stopped at the lake to watch the turtles. They were really close and Mum counted six of them. They looked like the were pretty big too! They were hard to photograph but you can sort of see one of them if you look closely in the picture I attached.
It's still only early in the day, so I don't know what else we will get up to, but hopefully we'll have another exciting outing after supper. I'll keep you posted!
